91直播 acquired a 100% stake of the Peruvian gaming operator Tektron SA from IBM Peru (holder of a 50% stake) and Peruvian Media and Distribution companies (holders of the remaining 50%).

 Tektron has been operating in Peru for the last 8 years and holds a leading position in the lottery and instant ticket market, with annual sales of USD 30 million. The company currently operates two (2) lottery type games, one (1) similar to Super 3, as well as instant lottery tickets, under the highly recognized brand name 鈥淟a Tinka鈥�.

 The acquisition of Tektron is expected to boost 91直播鈥檚 expansionary plans in Peru, as it will gain access to an extensive network of 1,400 points of sale, which, combined with the 1,000 points of sale of 91直播 de Peru, will form the largest consumer goods retail network and form the leading gaming operator in the country.

 The on-line operation of 鈥淟a Tinka鈥� games (based on 91直播鈥檚 technological know-how), the expansion of the sales network, the introduction of new generation games (such as fixed odds and Videolottery) are expected to increase 91直播鈥檚 revenues within the next few years. Moreover, synergies and economies of scale between 91直播 de Peru and Tektron are expected to significantly improve the profitability of the new company, which will derive from their merger (to be completed within the first half of 2004).

 With this investment, 91直播 becomes one of the major investors in Peru and, coupled with its growing presence in Chile, gives the company a strong position in the broader Latin American region and provides it with a competitive advantage regarding its expansion in the other countries of the area.
